We loved this hotel.
"The highlights were undoubtedly the room and the pool. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, spotless, and extremely comfortable. There are plenty of sun loungers around the pool, a great bar, and very clean facilities. The entertainment can be a little embarrassing at times, but it's all done in a playful tone and contributes to the atmosphere. The entire hotel is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed. Magnificent trees, vines, and plants grow throughout the atrium, from the basement to the third floor, giving the place a special charm. We highly recommend this hotel."

We stayed in a nice apartment (large and with air conditioning) on the top floor, with a beautiful view. Supermarket an 8-minute walk away. Several restaurants nearby. The staff were very polite. Furthermore, the weather in Portugal in October/November was great, with occasional rain in the morning.

It also offers a beautiful secluded pool area. The “bellux entertainment” made our vacation more fun and entertaining, and created an atmosphere for guests to get to know each other in a relaxed way.

The whole team has been amazing, especially the day entertainers, including Nadi and Java. They definitely made us laugh our way through every day of our vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed every game with them, even when we were playing terribly! Everything about Vila Petra makes one want to come back. Highly recommend!

"By far one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in, and we will definitely return whenever we can. The staff are absolutely fantastic, from the housekeeping staff to the front desk. Fabio and David at the bar are so funny, friendly, and pleasant. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the rooms are very large. The food was fantastic. Excellent breakfast selection. Great entertainment. There are always beds available by the pool, which is definitely a plus on a family vacation, and the location is absolutely perfect. Close to everything, and if you need an Uber, they're so cheap. I can't wait to go back."

"What I liked most was the kindness of the receptionist, who called a taxi to Zoomarine and when I left the hotel, she called a taxi without any problem to take me to the train station. The room was very large. I didn't have time to swim in the pool because I went to the beach and the Zoomarine park. The restaurant had food that I liked and the kitchen staff was very friendly and attentive."

"Cleanest Hotel ive been to in a long time, food is lovely and most staff are very nice. The toilets on the premises, in the bar, down at the pool, anywhere you go are spotless. Highly recommend if a clean hotel is a reason for choosing your hotel. Ten minute walk to the Albufeira strip."

"The hotel was very nice: clean and spotless. All staff were friendly. Breakfast and dinner was a varied buffet each day with different themes e.g. Mexican, Mediterranean, Portuguese and it tasted delicious. The beach wasn't far from the hotel (only a 20 mins walk) and the hotel wasn't far from the famous 'strip' in Albufeira (10 mins walk) which had a good atmosphere with nightlife, clubs and bars. The facilities were nice as there was a big indoor and outdoor pool. The hotel also had a gym, and sauna. However, I was displeased that in the apartment, the double bed was 2 single beds put together, so they would slide apart when sleeping because they were on wheels. But overall, the stay was adequate and I would say the hotel was worth its 4 stars."

"This hotel is amazing. Their main assets are their staff, especially the reception team, who are the most approachable, helpful people we’ve ever experienced in a hotel. We had a problem with golf clubs being delivered and they went out of their way to help us. We spent three wonderful weeks at this hotel and would definitely return. The apartment was very comfortable with everything you needed. Absolutely spotless and cleaned every day to a high standard. In fact the whole hotel was like that. Thank you all for a wonderful break."

"We’ve spend some lovely days at Vila Petra this Easter. There’s no doubt this is one of the best hotels we’ve visited in the Algarve. It’s beautiful and spotless. The staff is incredible and has the best entertainment team. From archery to aquaerobics in the day, to trivia nights in the evening. Mari and Java are great fun!"

Top quality 4* hotel for a week of winter warmth
"Booked through Jet2Holidays a week or so prior to get an absolute bargain self-catering week in Albufeira, choosing Vila Petra as the best looking option of the hotels that they offered. We certainly weren't disappointed with our choice, as from the moment one arrives this hotel is highly impressive, & I'd say up there as probably the best of the winter sun break type hotels in which we've stayed over the years.

Staff are extremely polite, friendly & helpful. The level of cleanliness & maintenance of buildings, facilities & grounds is very high. Quality of guest facilities such as pools, gym, restaurants & bars is excellent. Our studio apartment (251) was roomy, very clean, had a cracking shower, & was south facing - getting the sun all day - with a view over the pool. Recommend the 'pool view' rooms in the separate block for this.

Whilst the hotel is away from the seafront, 15 minutes walk down to the nearest beach, & 45 minutes walk to the old town, this meant that it was fairly quiet, whilst if wanting a bit more life, 'The Strip' is only 5 minutes walk away. We were though surprised at just how many businesses - maybe 60-70% or so - were closed, so if looking for a lot of life & choice in the way of restaurants, bars etc, then don't go in January. There was enough choice for us though for the week.

So overall, it's a definite big YES for us in terms of a recommendation for Vila Petra. Thanks to all the staff, who definitely added to our experience & enjoyment."

Great long weekend
"Brillaint Hotel, staff were all lovely and the Indoor pool was brilliant. We had room service for 2 nights of our stay and it was delicious, we had nuggets, chips, pizza , roast chicken, salad. It was a large portion and very tasty . Will definitely visit again when the outdoor pools abit warmer. Only thing that abit disappointing is the TV was small and it had about 3 English channels. but wouldn't need that in the summertime as much ."
